Due to Covid 19, DG Shipping had allowed institutes to conduct online classes and the certificate will be issued online by DG Shipping, the only difference is that you will not have the Institute Stamp and signature on the certificate but its a valid and no need to worry.
Steps to Download STCW Certificate Online
STEP 1. visit “DG Shipping Indos checker”
STEP 2. From the drop down list, Select “STCW Course”
STEP 3. Put your Indos number, date of birth and click on Search
Step 4. You can see the certificate, click on “certificate number”
Step 5. Your certificate will open now save it on your device.

A vertical signature is not an issue, it is still a valid certificate.

Please check after downloading the file, sometimes the digital signature doesn’t show in the browser. For example, it may be visible on Chrome but not on Mozilla Firefox.
